Memories of teaching
Recorded 10 years agoChristine Davidson taught at Wick North Primary School for 44 years. In this interview she talks about growing up in Gersa (using slates in the local school), the outbreak of war in 1939, her training as a teacher and her first jobs in the profession. She also looks back at Operation Snowdrop, which occurred while she was teaching in Lybster.
Christine was one of the longest-serving Scottish Women's Institute members in the country, having joined when she was 14.
Christine died in December 2017.
