One Day the Horse Bolted
Recorded 8 years agoDennis Nicolson describes the changes and developments in dairy farming over the years, from the time when his grandfather delivered milk by horse and cart. He tells of the day the horse bolted in Sinclair Terrace and landed in the grounds of Rosebank House. He describes operation snowdrop in 1955, when the milk had to be taken to Wick by train. Dennis continues to farm at Sibster where he owns the only dairy farm in Caithness.
