Lockdown Reflections - Thank you Caithness
Recorded 6 years agoGrant and Pat Ramsay share their lockdown reflections and explain how the foodbanks in Wick and Thurso, "Have been busier than ever."
As chairperson of Caithness Foodbank, Grant describes the voluntary work undertaken by the organisation as it endeavours to alleviate food poverty within the community.
Pat, one of the steering group volunteers, expresses her thanks for the generous and wide ranging support received during Covid-19 lockdown and explains how volunteers miss the direct contact with clients but are extremely grateful to High Life Highland volunteers who have undertaken deliveries throughout the county.
Generous donations have included money raised by 11 year old Cerys Norburn from Forss, who made clay rainbow badges, which she sold to friends and family to raise money for Caithness Foodbank.
Pat says, "Thank you Caithness – we are a caring community.”
