Janet McDonald recalls a memorable visit to London in 1949 with Wick Girls' Pipe Band. The girls were photographed marching down Ludgate Hill with St Paul's Cathedral in the background and were given a tour of the Houses of Parliament, while some even made an appearance on TV.

Janet and her late husband, Ian, ran J McDonald Photographers in Shore Lane, Wick, for many years. In a further recording on Wick Voices, Janet talks about working in the photography business.
Janet died in April 2020.
