Professor John Harper talks about his decision to study Chemistry, influenced by an inspirational teacher at Wick High School. John was born and brought up in Wick and moved to Aberdeen where he studied for both an honours degree and a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Aberdeen. Here he describes his career path as a lecturer in chemistry at Robert Gordon Institute of Technology to his current role as Deputy Principal and Chief Academic Officer at Robert Gordon University.
