Biography

Walter Mowat was born in John O'Groats where he has been involved in the tourist industry for most of his life. Walter is a collector of stories and information relating to this scattered rural community. His knowledge of the history and heritage of the area is impressive. As a local businessman and chairperson of the John O'Groats Development Trust, he has been instrumental in making John O'Groats a significant tourist destination.
