George Bethune talks about his family's experiences during the Clearances and how they settled at Laidhay croft in 1835. He has fond memories of helping out on the croft of Laidhay when he was a young boy. George has written the story of Laidhay as a poem, remembering life as it was. Today Laidhay is now a croft museum giving an insight into crofting history and the rural past.
